Welcome to my English class!  If you have made it this far then you are in one of my IB JR. or AP Literature classes at Paxon SAS.  I hope you will find this site helpful; with luck it should give you some information you might not otherwise have and access to resources to make your workload easier.

There are helpful web links here plus anything else I could think of that you might find helpful.  You can always email me at dolfan@myway.com.  I will reply at the first opportunity.  I check this email in the evenings and first thing in the morning.

Whenever possible I post links to stories we are reading so you can read and print them at home.  Since writing in your textbook is forbidden, printing a copy allows you to annotate as much as you would like.  This is generally a very helpful strategy to understanding the writing better.

We are going to work on AP writing writing and reading skills/analysis this year.  FCAT is done and gone and the only writing we will be working on is AP writing.  Seniors, the focus is on analysis this year.  Juniors, there is analysis, synthesis (like a DBQ), and persuasive writing.  It's the analytical one that gives the most trouble.

I am pretty easy-going and easy to get along with provided you try your best always, contribute positively to the class, do your work to the best of your ability, do your work on time, and do not disrupt the learning environment.  Work with me and I will work with you.

I am generally stay after school BRIEFLY (except on early release days).  I am here early, but will genrally be very busy.  If you need to see me outside class hours, let me know a day in advance and I will make arrangements if possible for before school.

Please contact me if you have any questions or comments.
